D1 Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Three standout Notre Dame High School athletes have officially signed their National Letters of Intent to pursue Division I sports at the collegiate level. This moment marks a significant milestone in their athletic careers and a testament to the hard work and commitment they have shown throughout their high school journey. Family members, teammates, coaches, and friends gathered to support these athletes in their new journeys.

Will Renda, a standout football player, has signed with Lafayette College, where he aims to continue his football journey at a highly competitive program. Will's performance as a key member of his team earned him recognition throughout his high school career, and his leadership skills on and off the field have set a positive example for his teammates. Will was a team captain, First Team WJFL selection, CAC Leader, 12th Man TD Club Player of the Week, and Super 100 Football All-Star Team selection. He is also an All-Star Wrestler, a Mercer County Champion, and a member of the State Tournament. His determination and work ethic have prepared him well for the challenges ahead in college football.

Wyatt Moore will also be making his mark at Stonehill College, where he will further his athletic and academic talents. A versatile player known for his exceptional skills on the football field, Wyatt has consistently demonstrated his ability to adapt and excel under pressure. He was a team captain, First Team WJFL selection, CAC Leader, 12th Man TD Club Player of the Week, and Scholar-Athlete scholarship winner. His commitment and dedication to the sport have led him to this opportunity and inspired those around him at Notre Dame. At Stonehill, Wyatt looks forward to contributing to a program that values determination and teamwork.

Christopher Young has signed with Columbia University to compete in track and field. Chris's speed and tenacity have made him one of the top athletes in his events. Some of his accolades include 9th place at Meet of Champions for 110 HH, 2nd place in 55HH Indoor Mercer County Champions 2024 and 2025, 2nd place in 110HH Outdoor Mercer County Champs 2024, 3rd place in shuttle hurdles at outdoor Adidas Nationals 2024, 7th place in shuttle hurdles at indoor New Balance Nationals 2023 and 94th in 60HH at New Balance Nationals 2024. Chris is also a member of the National Honor Society and an Eagle Scout. His rigorous training and commitment to his studies have positioned him as a talented recruit for Columbia, a school renowned for its academic prestige and athletic programs. Chris aims to push his limits further as he joins a competitive collegiate track team.

As Will, Wyatt, and Chris transition to this next exciting phase in their athletic careers, they embody the spirit of perseverance and hard work. Their accomplishments not only shine a spotlight on Notre Dame High School but also serve as an inspiration for future generations of athletes. The Notre Dame community is eager to watch them excel and make their mark at the collegiate level.

Annual Mass Celebrating Diversity and the Progress of People

Diversity, inclusion and social justice were the focus of this month’s liturgy at Notre Dame. Appropriately celebrated during Black History Month, students members of the SHADES and Social Justice Clubs organized and participated in the mass. The program included special guests, petitions in many languages, the presenting of cultural gifts, and this year’s SHADES Club video.

The Underclassmen Academic Awards Ceremony was held on February 20 to recognize our Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior students who have excelled academically in the first semester.
