Notre Dame High School continues to focus on enhancing educational opportunities for students and families by entering into a College Admission Agreement (CAA) with The Catholic University of America (CatholicU) in Washington, DC. This partnership is designed to empower high-achieving students and provide them with a seamless pathway to a quality Catholic education.

Benefits of the Agreement
The CAA outlines several valued benefits for students:

  • Guaranteed Admission: Students from Notre Dame who meet specific academic criteria will be guaranteed admission to CatholicU. This includes maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.00 and fulfilling all graduation requirements. Additional academic standards apply for those pursuing majors in Nursing, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their chosen fields.
  • Early Decision Notifications: Students who meet the Early Action and Regular Decision deadlines will receive their admission and scholarship decisions promptly, allowing them to plan their futures confidently.
  • Substantial Scholarships: CatholicU will award a minimum academic scholarship of $20,000 annually, totaling at least $80,000 over four years. This significant financial support makes a Catholic education more accessible and encourages students to pursue their academic dreams without the burden of overwhelming debt.

In November, Notre Dame High School’s World Language Department, including Claire Grimonprez (French), Elena Grianti, Georgia Savarese (Italian), Regina Demaree (Latin), Norma Lopez, Cynthia Sabogal, and Marilyn Ward (Spanish), had the opportunity to deepen their professional education by attending the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Convention in Philadelphia.
