Six outstanding seniors from Mercer County were recognized for their community service and academic achievement at the Mercer County Professional Counselors Association’s (MCPCA) twenty-ninth annual Scholarship Breakfast on Thursday, May 29 at Mercer County Community College’s (MCCC) Conference Center. Membership in MCPCA by the student’s school counselor was a requirement for seniors to be eligible for the scholarships.
Adriana Tattoli was awarded the Caring for Humanity scholarship, which highlights the student's commitment to service in their community and beyond. Ava Stazzone and Alexandra Santoro received the Meeting the Challenge scholarship, which recognizes students who have compensated for a physical or learning challenge and have achieved academically.
As one winner stated, “Resilience is not just about surviving challenges—it is about facing them head-on and refusing to let them define you.”
