Notre Dame High School Announces Impressive Partnership with the University of Scranton

Notre Dame High School is proud to announce a new partnership with the prestigious University of Scranton, opening up a world of opportunities for its students. This collaboration is designed to enhance the academic journey for graduates while instilling the values of the Catholic Tradition that both institutions hold dear.

As part of this partnership, the University of Scranton guarantees admission for all Notre Dame graduates with a 3.00 GPA or higher. These students will be eligible for a minimum annual scholarship of $26,000, amounting to $104,000 over four years, making higher education more accessible and affordable.

For students aspiring to enter competitive fields such as occupational therapy, nursing, communication sciences and disorders, and doctor of physical therapy, the University of Scranton offers guaranteed admission to those who maintain a 3.75 GPA or above. These students will also receive the same scholarship package, provided they submit their applications through the Early Action process by November 15 of their senior year.

In addition to these benefits, the University of Scranton adopts a holistic admissions approach, considering various factors, such as leadership, community service, extracurricular involvement, and academic performance. This ensures that every student's unique strengths are recognized and valued. Notably, Notre Dame students have no application fee, easing the transition into higher education.

The University of Scranton is a top 10 college in the North and has been consistently recognized on the Best Colleges list for 22 years. With a historical commitment to academic excellence and a rich Catholic and Jesuit heritage, the university focuses on developing ethical leaders and engaged citizens.

89% of Scranton's instructional faculty hold doctoral or other terminal degrees in their respective fields, contributing to a student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1. The university sponsors 23 NCAA Division III athletic programs—11 for men and 12 for women. For the 2023-2024 academic year, the general tuition and fees for the undergraduate program are $52,034.

This partnership represents a significant milestone for Notre Dame High School, reflecting its ongoing commitment to preparing students for a bright future rooted in Catholic values. Students and families are encouraged to take full advantage of this remarkable opportunity as they plan their educational paths.
