Pink Out Celebration: 2025

Pink Out Celebration: 2025

By: Elisabeth Halloran, Senior Communications Intern

This past Saturday, October 18, we celebrated our 17th annual Pink Out Celebration. The ND Cares Club, led by Ms. Diane Wargo helped to organize the sale of our Pink Out t-shirts and coordinate our halftime Pink Out Ceremony, which benefits those who are affected by breast cancer.

The Pink Out shirts, designed by Reese Parker ‘26, sold over 1500 prints, and helped to raise $18,000 in donations towards breast cancer awareness.

ND Cares Club members also collected donations to put together comfort bags for patients experiencing chemotherapy, to offer them some cheer during hard times.

On our Pink Out dress down day, Friday, October 17, there was a Pink Out prayer service in the grotto during Activity Period. Many students, staff, and faculty attended to pray for those experiencing breast cancer.

During halftime at our Pink Out football game, the celebration continued. Names of warriors and survivors were read as they were escorted onto the field by their families, in a display of fierce bravery, and names of angels were read as they were honored by their families.

In the name of service and giving to others, Evaline Fuentes, Ilianna Canastuj , Maddie Schmid, Caitlin Patrick, Rachael Mann, Annabelle Hediger, and Isabella Dworak donated their hair to Locks of Love in support of those undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Overall, our Pink Out week was a great success thanks to the ND Cares Club and Ms. Diane Wargo! Go Irish!
