Introducing Sean Matteo, Director of College and School Counseling

Notre Dame welcomes our new Director of College and School Counseling, Sean Matteo. Mr. Matteo is a Pitman, New Jersey native who graduated from Rutgers University with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Psychology and Exercise Science. He then went on to complete a Master's degree in School Counseling at Walden University.

For the past 5 years, Mr. Matteo worked as the Director of Guidance at Holy Spirit High School in Absecon, NJ. His expertise and qualifications will help him lead the Notre Dame College and School Counseling Office.

When asked to comment on his new position, Matteo stated, "I believe the best counseling programs are built on relationships, trust, and the belief that every student deserves to be known, supported, and prepared for what comes next. I’m excited to join the Notre Dame community and work alongside our students, families, faculty, and counseling team to create opportunities for every student to grow, discover their path, and confidently take their next step."
