Notre Dame’s curricular offerings are designed to meet the academic needs of our students and prepare them for the future. Lessons are carefully crafted by teachers to ensure that every student is fully engaged and actively participating. The goal is for students to interact with both the subject matter and their peers, encouraging active learning and fostering a deep understanding of the material.

Graduation Requirements

Notre Dame requires that all students successfully complete the following courses in order to graduate. Please be aware that this is the minimum requirement and that a minimum of 130 credits are required for graduation. Some colleges may require additional courses in Science, Math, or World Language. The curriculum affords every student the opportunity to fulfill these requirements. Students are required to take a minimum of 35 credits per year within the school day.

Block Scheduling

Courses at Notre Dame are typically 80 minutes long, while a few courses run for 40 minutes. The longer class period allows for more laboratory work in Science classes, more creative production in Art classes, more debate in Social Studies classes, and more writing and discussion in English. The school year follows a college-style academic calendar with classes running by semester rather than for the whole year. This prepares our students for future academic endeavors.
