Notre Dame Spring Arts Festival

The Show Must Go On

Notre Dame High School ‘s Performing and Visual Arts Departments will go forward with the school’s Spring Arts Festival originally scheduled for Thursday, May 28.
Visual arts faculty Mrs. Brittany Brydges-Neely and Mrs. Nancy Tomasi are preparing for Notre Dame's 2020 Art Show featuring a selection of artwork created by our students across many art disciplines including drawing, painting, ceramics, digital and photography. The show also celebrates and showcases the portfolios of our Senior AP Art students. The community will be able to see our Fine Arts Display on Thursday starting at 6 p.m. on the ND website, Facebook and YouTube. Mrs. Brydges-Neely said, "We have some really amazing young artists at Notre Dame and we are excited to still be able to share their talent and hard work digitally with the community. It is an absolute joy to see their creativity and ingenuity, especially during a time like this. Above all, I am so proud of them as both young artists and as people; they rock and are the reason that I love my job!"
Immediately following the Visual Arts Show at 7:30 p.m., the Performing Arts Department will host their spring concert entitled Springtime on Broadway. This salute to Broadway musicals will include performances from Les Misérables, Little Woman, Little Shop of Horrors, Sunset Boulevard, and Guys and Dolls. There will also be a nod to Beauty and the Beast, the school’s recent spring musical, whose performances were canceled after the first weekend due to the issuance of stay-at-home orders. “Seniors, juniors and sophomores will be able to perform in a variety of song and dance performances”, said Lou Gibilisco, Notre Dame’s Performing Arts Director.  “This is an opportunity to showcase our students talented allow them to give something back to the community.”
