Incoming Freshman Scholarships

An annual 4-year $1000 scholarship.

This memorial scholarship is named in honor of Mrs. Carolyn Ashton-Graham a beloved faculty member. It is awarded annually to students who have demonstrated active service in their parish or local community. Based on current application including letters of recommendation, interview and evidence of dedicated involvement in service activities. Must demonstrate active involvement in service at ND or in the local community for continued renewal of scholarship.

An annual $2000 scholarship.

These two $2,000 annual scholarships are awarded to students who have financial need. Must submit a FACTS Application.

An annual 4-year $2000 scholarship.

Established in 2021 by family and friends, the Daniel C. Tatum ‘11 Memorial Scholarship is an annual four-year $2,000 award to a freshmen who attended St. Paul School in Princeton, which was also Danny’s alma mater.

Through the generous donation of The Fruscione Foundation, Notre Dame offers one $10,000 scholarship per year for four years to a student with demonstrated financial need. The next candidate will be selected from the Class of 2031.

Awarded to students who exhibit qualities of the Notre Dame Spirit at their school, parish, or local community. The award is based on current application materials including letters of recommendation and interview. Must maintain a B average or better for continued renewal of scholarship

An annual 4-year $1000 scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated leadership qualities in their school, parish or local community. Based on current application materials including letters of recommendation and interview. Must maintain good academic standing and conduct for continued renewal of scholarship.

An annual 4-year $1000 scholarship.

A scholarship is awarded to a student interested in pursuing the Arts at Notre Dame.
 

The Frith Family Scholarship was created to assist families in need of tuition support. This generous gift reflects the Frith family’s deep commitment to ensuring that a Notre Dame education remains within reach for students regardless of financial circumstances. We are profoundly grateful for their dedication to our mission and our school community‘s future.

The Franzen Family Scholarship was established with the heartfelt intention of supporting immigrant families in need of tuition assistance. Inspired by their own family’s journey and the value they place on education, the Franzen family created this scholarship to help ensure that more students have access to the opportunities and community that Notre Dame offers. We sincerely thank their compassion and commitment to empowering future generations through education.
 

The Daniel Haas ‘24 Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Danny‘s life and legacy. Created in his memory, this scholarship provides tuition assistance to students in need, ensuring that Danny‘s spirit of kindness, generosity, and community lives on through the educational journeys of others. We are grateful to the Haas family and all who contributed to this meaningful tribute, which continues to make a lasting impact at Notre Dame
 

Notre Dame offers this financial award to thank families who have a parent or guardian serving in the military, protecting our country. Every incoming freshman whose parent or guardian is an active military member is eligible to receive this one-time $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their valor and courage.

Established in 2023 by family, friends, and former students, the Anna Maria Carella Memorial Scholarship  is a one-time $1,000 scholarship. Eligibility requirements include demonstrated financial need and a sincere passion for the study of Italian language and culture. Additionally, applicants will be assessed based on a written paragraph explaining their motivation for pursuing this scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship are chosen by the Carella family and Signora Savarese-Ahearn. Must submit a FACTS Application.

The Character and Service Awards are one time awards in the amount of $1,000 to 8th grade students who demonstrate exceptional character and service in one of our Catholic elementary partner schools. A student is nominated by their Principal and the final decision made by the Scholarship Committee at Notre Dame. 

Criteria includes:

• Strong academic standing

• Demonstrated service in their school, parish and/or community

• Demonstrated character as witnessed by faculty, staff and administration of school

Given to a member of the incoming freshman class. This individual must submit an essay demonstrating the significance of the Mercy Core Values in their life. 

The Joan and William Meszaros Family Award is given to incoming students who demonstrate significant financial need.  This scholarship aims to support students who have overcome personal and financial challenges.

A one-time $1000 Award and a one-time $500 Award are available.

This $1,000 award is for an incoming Sophomore, Junior, or Senior who demonstrates academic excellence and a strong commitment to community. We're looking for students who not only excel in their studies but also show a genuine sense of community spirit that aligns with our mission and values.

This award celebrates the unique contributions and fresh perspectives that transfer students bring to our school.
