Why is the Day of Giving So Important?
The Day of Giving is crucial for Notre Dame High School as it helps us bridge the financial gap that tuition alone cannot cover. With approximately 900 dedicated students walking our halls, we are committed to nurturing their academic journey while adhering to the Mercy Core Values that define us. This year, we invite our local community—parents, alumni, friends, and supporters—to give to what they love about Notre Dame. Your contributions directly impact the quality of education and resources we can provide.
Where Does Your Donation Go?
You may be wondering where your generous donations will be allocated. This year's Day of Giving presents more opportunities than ever for donors to contribute to the areas they are most passionate about. Whether your heart lies in athletics, academics, technology, or scholarships, your support can make a significant difference.
- Approximately $1.4 million in scholarships and financial aid: Making an ND education accessible to all students, regardless of their financial background.
- Renovated auditorium with complete HVAC: Providing a comfortable environment for performances and events.

Understanding Your Giving Options
When considering how to contribute, it's helpful to understand the two types of giving available: "restricted" and "unrestricted."
Restricted Giving: This type of donation allows you to specify where your funds will be used. For example, suppose you are passionate about enhancing the athletic program. Your donation can be directed specifically to that area, ensuring your contribution directly impacts our student-athletes.
Unrestricted Giving: Unrestricted donations allow the school to allocate funds to areas of greatest need. This ensures that the school can address unforeseen expenses or invest in new opportunities that arise throughout the year.
