The 5th Annual Complete Athlete Showcase sponsored by Destination Athlete and Dreams for Kids, Inc. was held on November 18 and two Notre Dame student-athletes received awards. Chad Nelson ’19 received the award and for Complete Athlete in recognition for his leadership, both on and off the soccer field. Sean Vernon ’20 was named Rising Star, which recognizes athletes who are on their way to becoming a Complete Athlete. Sean is a member of both the football and lacrosse teams.
Destination Athlete works with promoting leadership in student athletes. John McKenna, ND Strength and Conditioning Coach and Fr. Jason Parzynski, ND Chaplain, nominated Chad and Sean because of the strong character and leadership skills they exhibit, both within the school community and beyond.
