Over 150 grandparents joined their grandchildren for Mass during Freshman and Sophomore Grandparent Day. The day began with Liturgy, followed by photos and refreshments in the Gymnasium. Students proudly took their grandparents on a campus tour before ending the morning and returning to class.
Principal Joanna Barlow and President Mary Liz Ivins each spoke to the students and grandparents about the importance of their relationship.
“Grandparents have a special bond with their grandchild,” Mrs. Barlow said. “Ask your grandparent about what it was like for them when they were students and how things have changed since then.”
Ms. Ivins continued by thanking the grandparents for supporting Notre Dame in so many ways, from prayers to donations, that helped the school make upgrades to the facility, including the beautifully-renovated Auditorium.
Thank you to the many grandparents who joined us on this special day!
