In Latin, the word “experior” means to do, try, or experience. The Experior Program at Notre Dame offers students the opportunity to continue learning outside of a traditional classroom setting, through Senior Internships and Independent Research Projects.
Our Senior Spring Internship Program culminated with a Breakfast Symposium on May 29. Throughout this Spring Semester, 11 seniors took internships both inside and outside of Notre Dame in order to enhance their educational experience.
During the symposium, each intern presented poster boards describing the tasks and responsibilities of their internship, while also providing commentary about the challenges they faced as well as lessons learned from this unique experience.
After the presentations, the interns participated in a question and answer panel lead by the Experior Program Coordinator, Mrs. Bonnie Milecki. She asked the interns various questions, in which they were able to discuss topics like specific experiences within their internship, the tasks they had to complete, and how this internship has prepared them for the future. The program was then opened to the audience consisting of mentors, administrators, and family members in attendance. This concluded the morning presentation.
Notre Dame would like to congratulate all the seniors who took part in the Internship Program and the mentors who guided them along the way.
