Notre Dame is proud to announce Katie Kay ’20 has been selected to attend The American Legion Auxiliary Jersey Girls State Program.
The 2019 Jersey Girls State Session is being held June 23-28 on the Georgian Court University campus. The week-long event allows the girls to become immersed in the governmental processes. They become citizens of counties, members of political parties and elect government officials who must abide by the Constitution and the laws of the State of NJ in their governing of the counties. It is a wonderful opportunity to see government at work.
The selection process begins with an interview by the American Legion Auxiliary who have the final authority to make selections for Delegates to the Girls State Program. Katie was chosen based on her academic achievement, leadership, patriotism, community involvement and extra-curricular activities. Congratulations, Katie, and good luck at Girls State!
