On Career Exploration Days Notre Dame invites alumni back to share their success stories with various classes. This is an enriching learning experience for our current students, as they get to ask the alum questions and hear the story of their career journey. Three alumni came home to Notre Dame last week.
Brian Hartman ‘03 is a successful financial advisor. He counsels individuals, families, and business owners on their financial investments. As a proven leader in the industry, Brian has been recognized as a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He is also a contributing member of the Mercer County Estate Planning Council.
ND alumna Nicole Iacovelli ‘04 Meyers joined Lincoln Financial in May 2011 where she began working with the money guard team. Nicole currently works with other financial advisors to help create strategies to reduce the impact of long-term care expenses on client assets.
After graduating from Notre Dame, James Toto ’88 enlisted in the Army and from there he started his own trucking and construction company. In 2008 he was recruited by Monmouth Executive Airport and Columbia Air Services to manage aeronautical services such as fueling, tie-down and parking, aircraft maintenance and similar services. In 2009, after the market crashed, he found work with the Public Works Department of Ocean City, New Jersey,
where he is still employed today.
The last guest speaker was Christine Fiori Ph.D. ‘87 who works at Drexel University. Christine teaches courses in Project Controls, Equipment Applications and Economics, and Strategic Management. In addition to teaching, she is a Department Head and the Program Director of the Construction Management Program.
Students learned a great deal about the alumni and enjoyed listening to their real-life success stories of where Notre Dame led them. ND is always happy to welcome back our alumni and we are proud of their many successes. If you are an alum who wants to join us for a Career Exploration Day this year, contact Jessie Besler at Besler@ndnj.org for more information.
