The Air Force Association’s National Youth Cyber Education Program recently released the competition State rankings for Gold and Silver Tier competitors. We are proud to announce our Notre Dame CyberPatriot teams ranked highly!
Team ND4 competing in the Gold Tier, captained by Andrew Nguyen-Lepczyk ’21, achieved 2nd place in the State! Given the generally accepted increased difficulty of this year's competition both in terms of the new structure and content rigor this is a superb achievement!
In the Silver Tier, Team ND1, captained by Ashley Reme ‘22, placed first in the State and ND3, captained by Jeremy Peters ’21, placed second in the State! An excellent performance by both teams.
A very honorable mention must go to ND2. Captained by Connor Sullivan ’23, who is only in his second year of competition, his team had never competed before at all. Although they did not make it onto the podium, they did so well in their first two rounds that they were competing at Gold level in the final State round, which is amazing!
Dr. Brian Bridgewater, CyberPatriot moderator, said, "This year was hard for our CyberPatriots but they attacked the competition with enthusiasm, hard work, and a joy for competing that couldn't be a better example of the quality of student we're blessed to have at Notre Dame. I couldn't be prouder."
