Congratulations! The Notre Dame Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) would like to welcome the 47 new members who were inducted. Our NHS values are represented by four pillars –Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. The new inductees met all the requirements for NHS including a minimum cumulative GPA of 93, performing at least 30 service hours, taking Honors and AP courses and demonstrating leadership skills.
At the induction ceremony, Mr. Jennings, ND President, shared opening remarks and led us in prayer. Our keynote speaker, Mr. Dick Smith, Chair of the Board of Governors at ND, spoke to the inductees about the four pillars of NHS, the external benefits of being in NHS, NHS leadership at Notre Dame, and finally highlighted newly inducted NHS member Madison Reda ‘24, speaking at the National Catholic Youth Conference in Long Beach, CA. Mrs. Barlow, ND Principal, congratulated the new members and gave closing remarks while giving thanks to everyone involved in the ceremony. Caroline Aloisio, NHS President emceed the evening and speeches on the four pillars of NHS were given by NHS officers Caroline Aloisio, Isabella Kozar, Lacey Okamura, and Ryan Rauscher.
