Notre Dame High School is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Bronze distinction on the 2023 AP School Honor Roll. Schools can earn the Honor Roll recognition annually based on their ability to increase the school’s college-going culture, to provide opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
Notre Dame's ever expanding AP programs and honors courses helped earn us this important College Board distinction. ND offers 18 AP courses in total. Last year, ND had 59% of the graduating class take at least one AP during high school, 25% of juniors and seniors scoring a 3 or higher on their exams, and 2% of students taking 5 or more APs. In 2023, Notre Dame had 57 AP students who achieved one of three levels of AP Scholar recognition. Twenty-three students were named AP Scholars, 15 attained AP Scholar with Honors, and 19 AP Scholars with Distinction.
Through AP courses, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
