Notre Dame Spring Arts Festival

The Notre Dame High School Performing and Visual Arts Department hosted its Annual Spring Arts Festival on Thursday, May 25. Starting off the night was the magnificent visual arts show, which featured various artwork from students in Art 1 & 2, Honors Art 3, AP Art, Illustration, and Intro to Graphic Design.

The Performing Arts portion of the festival included performances by the Madrigal Singers, Show Choir, String Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Band, the ND Orchestra, and the Acting Class. Madrigal members of the Class of 2023 also sang solos. Alena Bitonti performed “Stay with Me,” Samuel Martin sang “As if We Never Said Goodbye,” Maeve Vernon sang “Both Sides Now,” George Lobis performed “I Don Quixote,” Delaney Stahl sang “Somewhere That’s Green,” Tobias Urban sang “Good Kid,” and Christian Ellwood performed “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Chair of the Performing Arts Department, Mr. Lou Gibilisco, gave out the following awards to the performing arts seniors:
Tech Service Award - Gavin Ulrich and Sasha Salins
Choral Service Award - Tobias Urban & Samuel Martin
Band Service Award - Tobias Urban
Dance Service & Leadership Award - Lacey Okamura
Outstanding Dancer Award - Kayla Smith
Outstanding Actor Award - George Lobis 
The Director’s Award for Band - James MacIssac
The Director’s Award for Chorus - Maeve Vernon
The Patrick S. Gilmore Band Award - Gavin Ulrich
The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award - Alexander Henderson
The John Phillip Sousa Band Award - Alexander Henderson
The National School Choir & Vocal Award - Christian Ellwood
Shadie Sadie Award - Delaney Stahl
Overall Performing Arts Service - Lauren Wargo
