The Notre Dame Girls Swimming Team is for real. If there was any doubt, it was erased on Tuesday when the #5 seeded Irish crushed #4 Mount St. Mary's at the Berkeley Acquatics Center in New Providence, NJ 104-66 in the NJSIAA Non Public "A" Quarterfinals.
Notre Dame High School is proud of our long and storied tradition of success in Athletics. Our Athletic Department boasts twenty-eight Varsity Sports for Boys and Girls and fifty-five total teams. Over eight hundred of Notre Dame's approximately one-thousand three-hundred students participate in Irish Athletics. On average, annually, more than thirty of our graduates move into the college ranks at the NCAA Division I, II, III and Junior College levels.
Notre Dame Coaches may not prohibit student athletes from participating in sports leagues outside of Notre Dame. They may not limit in any way a student athlete’s participation on ND teams as a result of participation on outside leagues. Notre Dame Coaches will set clear rules and consequences for missed practices and games. These rules will be reasonable and will apply to any absences. Notre Dame Coaches will also offer caring advice about balance and health. When any activity threatens academic success or physical health, it is appropriate for parents, teachers and coaches to help a student evaluate participation. Students are prohibited from attending ND open gyms or workouts for out of season ND sports without approval from the current season coaches.
All students participating in a sport must complete the required Athletic Forms. These forms can be completed electronically except for the Physical Form which may be downloaded from the Health Services page of the ND website.
