Notre Dame Performing Arts Students Present The Twelve

By: Christina Morris, Senior Communications Intern

Notre Dame High School’s Performing Arts students are excited to present The Twelve.
The show will be on November 8, 9, and 10, at 7:30 p.m., with a matinee on Saturday, November 10, at 2:30 p.m.

The drama  based on Reginald Rose’s 12 Angry Men follows a jury of a homicide trial. The case follows a young man who has been accused of murdering his own father and the jury of twelve men must decide whether or not he is guilty. If he is found guilty, the death sentence will follow. Once the twelve men move to the jury room, they begin their decision process and become aware of the distinct personalities of each other.  Although their decision was once unanimous, a reenactment of the murder and additional testimonies force the jurors to reconsider. Discrimination based on rase, background, and their own troubled family relationships all impact the decision they must make. Will these men be able to put aside their differences and come to a decision, or will their work result in a mistrial?

Mr. Ed Patton and Mr. Steve Lobis are the directors of the show. Mr. Dave Chebra is the technical director, and Mrs. Morgan Walter is the head of props.

The Twelve will be presented in the ND Student Center. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available to purchase on the ND website or at the door.
