While starting a chapter of your life and moving on to high school may be exciting, it can sometimes be frightening. Being brought up in the Catholic Church, I already had similarities to other students at Notre Dame and even though sharing a faith is a positive experience, not everyone does it. The activities at Notre Dame improve your high school experience and make transitions easier
My first day of football camp freshman year was nerve-racking, but that anxious feeling soon turned into eagerness for the school year to start. Once the first day of school arrived, most of my fellow classmates felt anxious and jittery, but my 50 brothers and I walked through the main doors ready to tackle high school. Now in my fourth year of football, it was the relationships that I formed in my freshman year that I depended on and still do when in need of help. The activities at Notre Dame open up all sorts of doors and behind those doors are friendships that will last a lifetime.
Besides the great coaches and teammates that I will never forget, it was the family and community atmosphere Notre Dame creates that allowed a smooth transition to high school. No other school creates an environment of love and friendship as Notre Dame High School. Selecting Notre Dame as the place to spend four years of my life was one of the greatest decisions my family has ever made. I thank Notre Dame and the many diverse clubs and teams for giving me all that it does, but most importantly those 50 brothers who stand by my side through thick or thin ready to tackle any obstacle that runs at us.
