Film
Notre Dame is proud to offer two Film Production courses and a Film Studies class, as well as a Film Camp over the summer. A Digital Media Marketing Internship is offered to seniors interested in visual advertising. The Film Society club is open to all grades and holds bimonthly movie screenings culminating in a Film Festival showcasing student work from throughout the year.
Film Classes
Film Festival
The Notre Dame Film Festival is an annual showcase of the best student work made throughout the school year in the Film Production classes. The festival takes place in May and ends with an award ceremony where students are rewarded based on live votes from the audience.
Film Camp
Film Camp is an abridged version of both film classes offered at ND over the summer. From 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. each day, students will learn the ins and outs of Film Production through daily projects. By the end of the week, they will have the skills required to create a short film. After a lunch break, 1 - 3 p.m. will be reserved for the Film Studies portion of the day, where students will view a film that falls within the camp’s theme and discuss important aspects of film criticism and theory. This camp is open to middle and high schoolers.
